Complaints about Trojan:DOS/Alureon.K virus:
I received a Large Red X in my microsoft security essentials home window with Clean PC Now. It says it has detected a severe virus called Trojan:DOS/Alureon.K It only allows for removal and the virus does not appear in the history window. I closed the window using the X in the upper right corner and did not choose to clean the PC or remove the virus. I downloaded the latest updates to security essentials and am running an additional scan. I still see a red bar at the top of the window stating "PC status: At Risk" Is this a fake pop up over my security essentials? Will the current updated scan solve the problem? Any suggestions on an action plan?
