Harmful traits of CryptoLocker:
CryptoLocker is a new released ransomware which is masterly designed by the cyber criminals as a means of scamming money from infected PC owners. Once invade into the PC, CryptoLocker will encrypts almost all the personal files on the computer, including photos, videos, documents and so on. After that a warming pops up stating that in order to decrypt the files, you have to purchase a private key within a certain period of time. If you refuse to pay 100 USD/100 EUR amount to buy the single copy of the private key, you will lost all of the encrypted files. If your PC is unfortunately being infected with CryptoLocker, it is better for you not to pay the money. Because no one can guarantee all of the files can be recovered after the payments. And if you paid, you will put your account into danger, as the CryptoLocker has the function of keylogger which will record your credit card number and send it to the schemers. Besides the above malicious behaviors, CryptoLocker Ransomware also harasses users of the infected PC by making their system slow, prompting frequent popups, modifying registry, Internet, firewall settings, generating BSOD error etc.
